Question: After a sexual uncounter, the couple's husband invited me out with him, without his wife

Dear Lounge Advice,
I am a single female and recently had my first soft expereince with a couple that was unbelievable. I chatted with the husband afterward online, which turned out to be him wanting to meet me for "lunch". Which I was uncomfortable with not only becuase of what his wife might think but also giving him the wrong idea as well. Needless to say I didn't meet with him, but his wife did find out and now thinks who knows what of me. What would be the best way to reslove this with the couple? Is there anyway?

Thanks for any advice with this,

M.

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

This isn't your fault, and if his wife is thinking any less of you because of his actions, then she is wrong. HE was in the wrong her, and you did the right thing by turning him down. Hopefully, his wife will realize that you did this partially out of respect for her. Perhaps, if you still wish to stay friends with this couple, you should attempt contact with her and explain your side of things to her. She may just understand, and want someone with whom to talk.
