Question: I found my LL profile on a site I don't belong to!

Dear Lounge Advice,

I was going through google and put in our screen name to see what would come up,and what I found shocked and scared me. I saw my own name for another site that I didnt belong to. The site was for cheating wives and it was in the city I live in. The main picture was different but the profile read pretty close to what we have in our profile here. Is there any way for me to get it taken off? Do you have anyone that can help me contact this website, because they didnt have any contact numbers or emails and I am not knowledgeable enough about computers to track them down via the web. Please let me know if you can help or give me some advice on the situation. Thanks

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

You're fortunate that your pictures weren't on that profile as well. I don't think you should be too worried about the rest unless the information in the profile can be a giveaway to an outsider that it's definitely 'you'.
You might want to propose this to the forum, as you would probably receive a good variety of answers that would help you more than my one piece of advice.
If you couldn't find any contact info on that website, I can't see how you could possible get anything accomplished. If it's a website, there must be some way to contact someone there. The forum-goers can probably provide more specifics.
In the meantime, you might want to alter any identifying information in your profile text here, so in the unlikely event that this happens again, you'll be safer.
I certainly understand how this made you feel.
Good luck!
