Question: I offered him an open relationship, he refused, and is cheating.

Dear Lounge Advice,

My boyfriend and I have been living together for about two years. We were both active in the lifestyle when we met. In fact we met at a lifestyle party.

We have agreed that we will not be active in the lifestyle again unless we both agree and we will only do it as a couple. However, it has come to my attention that he has been meeting or at least planning meetings with other women behind my back. I have given him the option many times to have a completely open relationship, but he refuses, although he has told me that he misses the lifestyle and the people in the lifestyle.

I believe the attraction for him may be in the secrecy, and I don't want to lose him, but I feel hurt and confused that he is lying to me.

Do you think I should confront him?

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

Yes!! Confront him. It would be downright stupid of you to put up with this just to keep a relationship that's full of distrust. For goodness sake, you offered him the ultimate deal, then he turned you down, and did it anyways? I'm sorry darlin', but this guy is an idiot. Don't be an idiot too. Confront him and if need be, leave him. I know you love him, but this will eventually reduce you to a mess. Are you willing to do this to yourself for the sake of someone who is knowingly doing something this stupid to you?
