Question: What is it about us that is not attracting people?

Dear Lounge Advice,
I am so in love with my man who is 11 years older than me. When we first started dating, I was kind of grossed out about his age, his hairy back and stuff but since I've fallen head over heals in love with him... I don't even notice these things but... I think everyone else does. Well, it's the only thing I can think of as to why we are treated like lepers on this site and other swingers sites as well. Out of about 20 emails that I send just saying hi and such, I get about 1 reply at the most. We have not hooked up with anybody in our year and a 1/2 of being in the lifestyle. I don't know if we have a boring profile or if he's not young enough or what.

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

Please forgive me for saying this because I like to be as objective as possible with sort of question- How can you be sure that it's just him? I don't mean this as a personal affront to you at all. I'm just playing devil's advocate.
If you think it might be the profile, jazz it up. If you think your picture are too plain, get some sexy photography done!
Also, consider what kind of couples you are contacting. Are you reaching out to your age range, looks range, (i.e. similar people such as yourselves)?
Just a few things to consider.
If you do think it's his physical appearance, think of what can make that better without hurting his feelings. If it's a hairy back, help him treat that in a kindly way. Let him know that you think it would help to make him a sexier stud and offer him other suggestions in a way that won't make him question his man-pride. Kepp trying different sites too. There are so many swingers' sites online that you can put your feelers out in many directions.
I've also seen this situation where couples don't do well online, but they go to the swing events and do just fine. So try getting out more to the clubs and building up a repoire with the local couples. This way, they can also see what a great guy he is, which makes it a hell of a lot easier in the long run.
If you've seen the wonderful side of him, give others the time/opportunity to see this too and more positive situations will present themselves ;)
Don't think about the problem. Think about the solution!
