Question: Unread mail

Dear Lounge Advice,
My husband and I thought we made a connection with a like minded couple. We met at several parties, laughed, flirted. Did everything but do the deed. Later we emailed them. Very low pressure - "hey, that was fun, love to see you again, blah, blah, blah.

Now, two weeks later our email shows up as "unread" .Said couple have been "online" incessantly. Is there a mechanisim to pretend not to "see" undesirebles? (Such as us?)
Cool -another way to not hurt feelings. But, is this a function we were not aware of?

I'll get over it. Thanks for the help. Nancy

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

I wouldn't read too much into this. Sometimes, I leave my LL browser up for long periods of time. It doesn't always mean that I'm online, just that I'm too busy to sit down and sift through all of my mail during the week.
there is a way to read mail, then revert it to 'unread' status.
I sometimes do this so I know I still need to address it.
Don't brood over it. If they want to respond, then they will.
If they don't, it's not a big deal. There are many more opportunities out there.
