Question: Not interested in a couple and they're not taking the hint

My husband told some people that we know that we are in the lifestyle. I did not like them the greatest in the first place especially the female half. Now she won't take the hint that we don't want anything to do with them that is lifestyle based, even meeting them for a drink with other lifestyle couples. Unfortunately I have to bump into them at lifestyle events now which makes me uncomfotable but I dont want to miss out just because they are there. What can I do?

Dear (Anonymous),

Well, first of all, you and your husband need to touch base with each other before deciding to tell others about your involvement in the lifestyle.
What can you do? You can just continue doing things exactly as you would have before this issue arose. Don't be afraid to go to an event just because you might bump into them. If you do, be polite. If they try to set something up with you, be courteous and just say no thanks. Do it more than once if you have to.
Usually, after awhile, this tends to work. They may view you as standoffish, but if that's what it takes to get the point across, so be it.
We're all adults here and we have to face the fact that we won't be everyone's cup 'o tea.
If none of this works, you'll just have to say nicely, "We're not really interested, but we wish you luck in your searches".
Hopefully, they will accept this with grace. If not, it just proves that you are making the right decision to stear clear of them.
