Question: Rejection- Will others handle it well?

Dear Lounge Advice, We have been in the lifestyle for 6 mos. We have met and connected with a large number of friends. Next month we are attending an event that includes 19 of our friends. We have played with 3 of the 19, planned to play with several others and eager to get to know the rest.

We are concerned about expectations and would love to play with everyone but obviously that cant happen.

Should we just not wrry about those who can't deal with rejection or call in sick? :)

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

The only expectations that matter are your own. You're not here to fulfill anyone else's expectations.
If someone cannot deal with your choices, that is their problem, not yours.
Those particular types need to realize that not everyone is going to play with them, and in order for them to be successful in the lifestyle, they have to get over it.
Nobody owes anyone anything in this lifestyle except respect for preferences.
