Question: How to politely say no to playing with another couple, because you are only interested in one half of the couple.
Dear Lounge Advice,
I was recently contacted by a couple who was very interested in our ad. They sent a pic of her but not of him. We were both very attracted to her but requested a pic of him. She has since responded with a photo of her husband. And I am not at all attracted to him. I am trying to think of a kind way of saying not interested. We have already told her we think she is beautiful and we know that if we respond "not interested" they will know it has to do with him. I know we shouldnt worry so much about hurting feelings, but I like to think of myself as a kind person. And just dont know how to approach this one. Help please.
Hugs N Kisses
We will assume that you learned the lesson of not responding until you see both halves of the picture. If you are interested in couples then you have to view a picture of just one of them as like a picture torn in 1/2.
The best way to handle this situation is to reply with something simple like, "Although we find you both attractive, at this time we don't think that we would make a very good match."
End of story. No need to go into details, and if they press, just tell them that you prefer to not get into details and that this is your decision as a couple.
It will be fine...
