Question: Asking for covering of costs

Dear Lounge Advice,
We are having a smaller hotel party, that has become a larger hotel party. We had to get a suite and the cost went through tte roof. The party was always our idea but since everybody said yes, and we couldnt have that many people in one smaller room and have fun. It was also a byob.

Would it be wrong in asking for help in covering the room cost, and if so how do you asked that question? Do want to seem cheap.

Confused

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

You just don't require it.

You just tell the predicament and say that if anyone wants to help with the cause, they can donate some money to take some of the financial stress off of you.
