Question: Relgion vs. Lifestyle

Dear Lounge Advice,

My wife and I have been in the LifeStyle for about 7 years. We have made the greatest friends, had many erotic experiences, and it has deepened our trust and bond as a couple.

Although we are both agnostic, Laura has recently been feeling more spiritual and is conflicted about 'playing' with other couples. She is concerned that it could be amoral in the eyes of God, a kin to adultery. My own feeling is that there are no such moral issues as 'playing' is a consenual extension of our own sex life within the confines of our marraige.

Is there any conventional wisdom on this subject? I would think that there are many Chrisians in the Lifestyle. How do they resolve this?

(Steve) & Laura

Dear (Anonymous),

There ARE many Christians in the lifestyle- Personally, I believe in what you said. I'm not much of one for confining rules when it comes to religion, especially if you're preserving your love and bond with your spouse.
There are a couple of groups here on LL that center around this exact thing. Go look on the 'groups' homepage and look in the 'religion and spirituality' section. Perhaps joining one of these groups will help your wife work out some of the confusing feelings.
