Question: How do we first start participating at a swing club?

Dear Lounge Advice,

We have been to a lifestyles club out here and really got turned on by what we saw but were a little worried about participating. What were the expectations, who would join in, how to approach other couples, etc.

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

Glad to hear that you had a good experience... it's great to see people get turned on just by watching what is going on around them... the sexual energy is amazing !!

Usually no one has any expectations on what you should do. If you go to a group area in an on-premise club... you can just be with each other... and sometimes someone may come over to you... most of the times its the woman who will initiate things... often its non-verbal... maybe a hand will brush a hand.. or a leg... and if you are not interested... just say, "No Thank You."

If you have been dancing or talking with another couple, it is best to just ask them what there rules are.... what limitations they have.. and discuss what yours are... people are usually very understanding.. and if they are not... the hell with them... move on !

If you see someone you want to approach... just sit next to them...

When we have been in those situations.. we usually choose our real estate carefully.... and will only go next to a couple that we were attracted to...

Spend some time standing back and watching what goes on... you will get the hang of it by just observing... and don't feel compelled to have to "do" anything... take baby steps.
