Question: How do we handle a single woman who wants to correspond with my husband without me knowing

Dear Lounge Advice,

My husband and I played with single woman two different times.
I liked her very much until she started e mailing my husband and it got a bit chummy. My husband shared some intimate details about us with her and I felt very hurt and even a bit jealous. My husband contacted her twice without consulting me to meet us and I was also upset by this.
We discussed it and he did not hear from her for months until recently. I askd him not to respond to her because I felt he crossed a line with her that I was not comfortable with and he agreed although he is concerned about running into her in a club or party. I do not want to play with her again. How should we handle this without hurting her feelings?

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

You should have discussed this with her the first time it concerned you... in any case... now that it happened we suggest you cut off any contact with this woman.

We suggest that you send her an email (not your husband) and just be straight and to the point.

Tell her that you appreciate the good times that you guys had, but you think at this time you are not interested in "going there" again. Thank her in advance for respecting your decision.

You need to also make it clear to your husband to NOT respond to any of her correspondences.

If she is single and female she will have no trouble finding another couple. Any single female who pursues conversations with the make 1/2 of a couple is looking for trouble anyway.

Don't be so concerned with her feelings.. she will be fine !
