Question: Playing with a commited (but not married) couple. What do we do?

Dear Lounge Advice,

What do you do if a couple is interested in you but they themselves are not married to each other but say they are a couple?

Sincerely,

(Anonymous)

Dear (Anonymous),

This is a decision that you and your partner need to decide what you are o.k. with.

Everybody has their own tastes and expectations for what they look for in play partners.

While some couples expect their play partners to be a married committed couple...others have a little to no limits for how their play partners are committed to each other as long as they all are mutually attracted to each other.

There are a lot of really great couples that are in long lasting committed relationships that have chosen not to consummate marriage between them so you shouldn't exclude couples just because they are not legally married.

Just because a couple in the lifestyle is married does not mean that they are less drama and more secure than non married couples.
We would recommend you explore the relationship of your potential play partners and decide for yourselves whether you are comfortable entering into a "play " orientated relationship with them before you get physically involved with them.

Sincerely,
