Should LL delete profiles for inactivity? And if so after how long?

I have been on LL since close to the beginning and I love LL for many reasons.  The biggest is that they truly care about their members and value their members input on ways to better improve the site for everyone.

The one and only thing I have always felt that they should do to improve the site is do delete profiles for inactivity.  There are profiles out there that are going anywhere between 5 to 10 years with the users not logging in and they are far gone and will never be coming back.  This only creates a waste of time and energy for active users because they have to fish thru all the old inactive profiles in order to find people who are active members.

The only clue we have is if a profile has nothing in the "Last Online" field of their page... that means that that person has not logged in to LL in over 60 or 90 days I think it is.

So I feel it would be in the best interest of all the active members if LL started deleting profiles that have been inactive... I think at 6 months at the very longest.  Or at least make it where those profiles that haven't logged in for 6 months get hidden away where they do not show up anywhere until that user logs in again?

I think it is also a privacy issue for old users that may not have their login info after being gone for years and have no intention of returning and could have even forgotten about LL... this way no one sees their old profile and pics years after and then thinks those people are still in the lifestyle when in fact they are not.

I have a feeling most members will agree with me on this one... and if so could Admin at least give us some explanation as to why this isn't standard practice?
