   I read this on Revolutionhealth.com, was wondering how valid some of the points are and aren't:


Masturbation does have negative effects on your health. It does reduce your stamina and lower your drive to accomplish things. You should definitely refrain from excessive masturbation (every day) because this puts a high amount of stress on your prostate. It's also not good for your brain due to the feel-good chemicals (norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine, & serotonin among others) constantly being released. It's basically like a drug that your brain gets hooked on and part of the reason why masturbation is so hard to stop (some have even stated that masturbation is more addictive than heroine). If you ever tried to stop then you no doubt are familiar with the strong urge to masturbate again after about 4-7 days. After this amount of time the effects of the feel-good chemicals wear off.

Frequent masturbation reduces your vitality thus making you more susceptible to diseases, especially to colds and flus during the winter season. Bodybuilders have it better in this respect as their constant exercise gives them higher vitality to begin with, and their continued exercise helps them recover their strength more quickly. However, there is bad news for the bodybuilders/weight-lifters as well. Masturbation weakens your tendons and ligaments, making it easier to strain a muscle or sprain a joint. I can confirm this from personal experience as I had both a strained muscle and sprained knee which was due to over-exertion in my exercise routines (my injuries didn't happen at the same time but where several years apart). Even years later after my injuries had healed, after masturbating I could still feel those particular spots start to ache slightly. Furthermore, you will start to get lower back pain if you continue to masturbate regularly. However you will most likely not experience this particular symptom until after you are past your teen years. Others will start to experience thinning hair on their heads as well. This is due to too much of your testosterone being converted into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which overloads your body.

You also lose several milligrams of zinc every time you ejaculate. Among other very important things, zinc

- plays an important role in cell division and growth. It is essential for protein and DNA synthesis.

- helps in liver function and proper insulin activity.

- is essential for proper functioning of the sexual organs. Zinc is found in abundance in semen and the prostrate gland. Sexually active men require more zinc than women for the health of the reproductive organs and fertility.

- is a component of many enzymes that help in the metabolism of lipids, carbohydrates and proteins.

- helps in wound healing.

So as you can see, masturbation is extremely BAD for you in almost every way. And no, it is NOT the same as having sex because when a man has sexual intercourse with a woman, certain trace minerals and prostaglandins are absorbed from the female vaginal secretions which balance the zinc-loss effect.

Frequent masturbation and ejaculation (more than 4 times a week) stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions excessively, resulting in the over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin. Abundant and unusually amount of these hormones and neurotransmitters can cause the brain and adrenal glands to perform excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion and turn the brain and body functions to be extremely sympathetic. In other words, there is a big change of body chemistry when one excessively pratices masturbation.

Like other behaviors, when over practiced or addicted it can lead to both psychological and physiological imbalances.

The side effects of such changes to the body include:

Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time

Lower back pain

Stress / Anxiety

Thinning hair / Hair Loss

Soft / Weak Erection

Premature Ejaculation

Eye floaters or fuzzy vision

Groin / Testicular Pain

Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone
If above symptoms are experienced, you need to restore the balance of brain's acetylcholine / parasympathetic ratio, reduces the level of sex hormones in the body, and sedates sympathetic nervous function, or the symptoms would become worse.

and if you think I'm wrong, I laugh because one day you'll realize I was right all along. these negative effects are real. sure masturbation is healthy in some ways just like a broken clock is right once or twice a day. but all you who say there are no negative side effects? I have news for you! filthy liars I have over 12 years experience masturbating, I know what I'm talking about and experience.
