Can any of my fellow pet owners share their experience with the cedar oil flea-tick products (cedarcide or wundercide, etc)? With squirrels, possums, raccoons, feral cats, birds, and coyotes wandering through my place, it's almost impossible to stop the fleas, ticks, and mites. I hate using the strong chemicals (and mostly they don't work anyway). I've been told that a bed of cedar shavings for Rocky to sleep on, combined with cedar oil drops between his shoulders will keep him from getting bitten. Another problem I have with Bayer's chemicals is that the fleas and ticks still bite, then they die, but they still bite him. The season will start soon (I am already seeing possums and raccoons in the yard). Are the cedar-based products safe and effective? any opinions? other alternatives?
