COY makes a good point. The first time you're with somebody new, there's a little novelty rush that adds a little spice but there's nothing like getting to know someone over time that makes sex better. Had a slightly older lover in my early 20's and we had breakfast after our first night together. She said that her favorite musician, Sade, had a song called "It's Never As Good As Good As The First Time," but she didn't believe the idea of the song true at all. And that it would get better between us while I thought it was pretty damn good.
I think it was her subtle way of saying "You had more orgasms than I did because you don't know my body's buttons quite yet but I'll teach you how to be a better lover if you'll pay attention." Had a FWB many years later that used to say "Please thank that woman for me, she did a good job training you!" Wherever you are, you naughty thing, thanks from me and every lover I had after you.
