I am pretty lucky that I don't have a very heavy flow, so I have never had the diva cup fill all the way in all the years I have been using it. But yes, make sure to be somewhere that you have private access to a sink...otherwise that would be kind of embarrassing!
It takes some practice to get used to forming the "seal" but once you get the hang of it you can do it with your eyes closed. I just put it in while showering and take it out before going to bed.
